Guyana, South America Mission 2007
(Kitty, Guyana)

In June of 2007, 6 members of the Walnut Street church Of Christ youth ministry traveled to Guyana, South America to work with the Kitty church of Christ in an evangelistic effort.  During the 10 day trip, Darrell Powell preached a 3 night gospel meeting to a capacity crowd.  Jamie (Darrell’s wife) coordinated a 3 day Vacation Bible School that also pushed the limits of the building’s space.  Also on the trip were Marcus Harrell, Meaghan and Morgan Till, and Tyler Ray.  These young people worked hard to prepare and then worked harder while in South America.  They held personal Bible studies, taught classes at VBS, ministered to children in the local hospital, and much more.  Only eternity will tell the good that was accomplished for the Lord during this effort.
